Privacy Policy
Legacy (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is published by berenad and is available on iPhone and Android. This policy explains what information the app uses, why, and the choices you have. In short: Legacy has no accounts, does not ask for your name, email or phone number, does not show ads and does not track you across other apps or websites.
1. Information stored on your device
The following stays on your device and is never sent to us:
- Your saved quotes, chosen interests, theme, language and notification time.
- Which content you have unlocked, so the app works offline.
This data is removed when you delete the app or clear its data.
2. Anonymous usage statistics
To understand which features are used and to improve the app, Legacy uses Google Firebase Analytics. It records events such as completing onboarding, viewing the Premium screen, starting a free trial or completing a purchase, sharing a quote and adding the widget, together with general device information (for example device model, operating system version, app version, language and approximate country derived from the network).
Firebase assigns a random app-instance identifier to your installation. This identifier is not linked to your name or contact details, and we do not use it to identify you. Legacy does not request the advertising identifier (IDFA on iPhone) and does not use this data for advertising or to track you across apps owned by other companies.
Google processes this data under its own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy. Firebase data is retained for a limited period and then deleted automatically.
3. Purchases
Legacy Premium is sold through the App Store on iPhone and Google Play on Android. Payments are handled entirely by Apple or Google; we never see or store your card details. We only receive confirmation of which product is active so that Premium content can be unlocked and restored on your devices.
4. Notifications and widgets
If you allow notifications, Legacy schedules a daily quote on your device at the time you choose. Notifications are created locally; no push server is used. The home screen widget reads the daily quote from the app on your device.
5. Permissions
- Notifications: to show your daily quote. You can turn this off at any time in the app or in your device settings.
- Photos, add only (iPhone): requested only when you save a wallpaper or a quote card to your photo library. The app cannot read your existing photos.
- Set wallpaper (Android): lets you apply a quote wallpaper directly from the app.
- Run at startup (Android): re-schedules your daily notification after the phone restarts.
6. Children
Legacy is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
7. Your choices
You can stop all data collection by deleting the app. Because we do not hold any information that identifies you, we cannot look up or export data about you, but you are welcome to contact us with any question or request.

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above.
